Scamp 13' camper, under 1000lbs, sleeps 4, all fiberglass shell for zero leaks. Found one for sale a few hours away for under $2000.
The interior is rather excruciatingly '70s though.
EDIT: ad was a scam, still want one of these campers though.

I remember looking at scamps, They are about the only affordable lightweight game in town. Ended up buying a popup trailer instead.

Cool. Has a kind of retro feel to it.

Ad turned out to be a scam that gets posted all over the country. Ah well.

I've been beating around the bush looking at something like one of these to haul behind my Jeep:
Only problem is they cost $20k...

They are very cool. But only 4 midgets could actually sleep in it :)
I want an Airstream, but people want some crazy prices for those!

I do not understand camping trailers. I understand them from a technical perspective, but I don't understand why someone would want one, when camping with a tent is alright enough, and can be had at 1/50th the cost.
Explain?

I HATE sleeping on the ground. I'm a side sleeper, so sleep basically didn't happen much at all when I tried tent camping a couple of times. If I'm not sleeping well, no fun will be had at all. So, for me, it's either camper camping, or no camping.
I also love having an air conditioner for those hot, humid nights (again, for sleeping), and having an air conditioned shitter, as opposed to a smelly hot pit toilet, is pretty freaking sweet.
I'm envious of people who enjoy tent camping, as towing the camper is a PITA, but I just can't do it.

Here in Ontario it honestly doesn't *really* get hot enough for A/C about 95% of the year. We get the odd day here/there, but Florida it ain't.
The last place I went camping just had a box in the bush. It wasn't the best, but out of the entire weekend I only spent about 10 minutes on it, so I'll live. I have a tough stomach though some of the other guys were saying they were out there like 3-4 times. Sucks for them.

Scamp? Sure looks like a Boler . We had one of these when my two sisters and I were kids. Fits a family of five better than a tent does.
Holy shit, they are going for between $5000 - $8000 now!

Scamps are pretty cool. Even new ones aren't that bad, and I think they're about the lightest trailers you can get that include a full (optional) bathroom.
There's a few other companies (Casita, etc.) that build or built very similar trailers with what look like pretty much the same fiberglass molds.
